Poll: Which of These 12 new...

There’s no end in sight! Since the launch of the Avinox M1 system at Eurobike a year ago, things have really taken off. More and more bike brands are turning to DJI’s innovative motor – and by now, the range includes everything from city e-bikes to high-end enduro machines. So, we’ve put together this overview of all the available models. But the real question is: which bike would you go for with a DJI motor, and what matters most to you?

DJI Avinox M1 | 120 Nm | 1000 Watt | 2.52 kg | Manufacture´s Website

Hardly any e-bike motor has caused such a stir in such a short time as DJI’s new Avinox M1 system. With up to 120 Nm of torque and a whopping peak output of 1,000 watts, the Avinox isn’t just one of the most powerful systems on the market– it’s also the lightest in its class, tipping the scales at just 2.52 kg. The motor is paired with an integrated 800 Wh battery, or an optional 600 Wh version, along with a high-resolution 2-inch OLED touchscreen neatly built into the top tube. DJI also gives you the option to use third-party batteries. So, the integration isn’t just technically sophisticated – it’s been smartly executed in terms of design, too.

No surprise then that demand has gone through the roof since the launch. The Avinox didn’t just come out on top in our big motor group test – it also secured the prestigious Design & Innovation Award. DJI first unveiled their motor system in their in-house Amflow eMTB, but by now the motor can be found in a growing line-up of exciting bikes.

The first to follow in April were UNNO and Forbidden, and we’ve already put both of their bikes through a full test for you. Now the rest of the industry is charging ahead. At Eurobike 2025, plenty more brands are unveiling their models equipped with the DJI Avinox M1. Among them are heavyweights like Rotwild and Commencal, niche brands like Crestline, Megamo, Crussis, Steppenwolf and Velduro—and for the first time, a city e-bike from Velo de Ville powered by DJI.

DJI are now talking about 16 OEM partnerships, which means we’re likely to see the Avinox motor popping up across virtually every e-bike segment in the future—whether it’s an e-MTB, SUV-style all-rounder or nimble city commuter. So, which e-bike with a DJI Avinox motor would you go for?

AMFLOW PL Carbon Pro

The AMFLOW PL Carbon Pro wasn’t just the first eMTB on the market to feature the DJI Avinox motor system – it also proves that a full-power eMTB doesn’t have to look bulky. With its sleek design, seamless integration and high level of connectivity, it shows just how refined modern e-MTBs can be. Naturally, we included it in our big e-MTB group test and had the chance to put it through its paces.

When it comes to climbing, the AMFLOW was unbeatable in the test and easily the best climber in the group. On the way back down, though, it’s held back by low-profile tyres and a low front end, which takes away from the overall feeling of control and makes it reach its limits fairly quickly on more demanding trails. That makes the AMFLOW PL Carbon Pro the perfect choice for riders who want maximum uphill speed and aren’t chasing top-level downhill performance.

AMFLOW – Showbike

To prepare the AMFLOW PL Carbon Pro for tougher downhill action, AMFLOW are working on a more capable version with increased travel and a stronger focus on descending. The AMFLOW showbike offers an early glimpse of what’s to come and is aimed at riders who really like to push their limits. The concept bike on display features a FOX Podium Factory fork and a FOX DHX2 coil shock. The frame remains unchanged, including the cleanly integrated DJI Avinox M1 motor. So if you’ve been hoping the best climber in our test would step up its downhill game too, this might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. We’ll keep you posted!

UNNO Mith Pro

The UNNO points the way forward for a new generation of e-MTBs. But if you’re after a true all-rounder for every kind of terrain, you’ll want to look elsewhere. The UNNO Mith Pro has one clear focus: descending. If you’re ready to push the bike hard, you’ll be rewarded with a seriously fast, uncompromising eMTB built for demanding trails and rough terrain. Top-shelf components, clever design details and its striking looks all underline the Mith’s high-performance ambitions. With the powerful DJI Avinox M1 motor, the Mith flies up gravel tracks, although its performance on technical climbs is more average. Both visually and technically, the UNNO Mith Pro blends the best of the light and full-power e-MTB worlds. It’s an outstanding bike and it earned our Editor’s Choice award in this year’s big e-MTB group test.

Forbidden Druid LitE und CorE

With the Druid CorE and LitE, Canadian brand Forbidden have made an e-MTB debut that’s not just impressive on paper – it delivers on the trail too. The high-pivot rear suspension offers outstanding stability and traction, while the finely tuned DJI Avinox motor provides strong, controllable power on the climbs. The CorE stands out as a capable all-rounder with a wide range of use, while the more agile LitE shines on flowy trails without getting overwhelmed when things get rough. Both bikes benefit from the system’s exceptionally low overall weight and a firm suspension setup that rewards active riding. The lack of a fast charger and the premium price tag lose it a few points, but overall, Forbidden delivered the most versatile DJI-equipped e-MTB on the market so far.

ROTWILD R.EX ULTRA

The ROTWILD R.EX ULTRA is agile on the descents, quickly picks up speed and climbs with confidence and plenty of traction. The big, removable battery and powerful yet finely controllable DJI Avinox motor are big advantages both in everyday use and out on the trail. Sure, it lacks a bit of composure when things get really rowdy, but if you can live with that – and you’ve got the budget – you’ll get a modern, versatile eMTB that’s built to perform.

VELO DE VILLE REVO-C

The VELO DE VILLE REVO-C was the first city bike with a DJI Avinox motor we had on test and we were immediately impressed by its lively handling and powerful support. With smart features like theft protection and built-in connectivity, it offers real everyday benefits. Thanks to the online configurator, there’s also a high level of customisation available. Our first impression is a strong one – now we’re looking forward to seeing how it performs in the long-term test.
